This was the case when I traveled along the\u00a0Ballaghisheen Pass in the center of the Iveragh Peninsula during my recent trip to Ireland. I was trying to find a large male to photograph but I did not spot one. I was able to photograph this young sheep who was very curious of what I was doing.<\/p>\n<p>Ballaghisheen pass is a stunning 1.5 hour drive from Killarney to Waterville and runs through the centre of the Iveragh Peninsula to some of the most remote and scenic parts of county Kerry. There are few equals in Ireland to this grassy plain with its broad views. The route is\u00a0an alternative to the famous Ring of Kerry drive which takes the coastal route around the Peninsula. I actually took this route by mistake when I drove to Waterville to play golf the prior week. Google Maps routes you this way because it&#8217;s faster. The camera was set on\u00a0Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f\/8, shutter speed at 1\/800th of a second and the ISO set at 1000. I did not use a tripod.
