I found this very nice specimen with Cap Rock in the background and waited for the sun to paint the rock with its golden colors. Being in a Joshua Tree Forest is amazing. I&#8217;ve always liked Yucca plants but Joshua Trees are definitely the king of the species. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f\/8, shutter speed at 1\/60th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod\u00a0for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n<p>You can see my new gallery for\u00a0Joshua Tree NP by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/joshua-tree-np\/\">here<\/a>.
