It is hard to appreciate the flowers due to their size so I decided to get a good closeup of one of them to show some of the details. The flower is not very big but what it&#8217;s missing in size it makes up with it&#8217;s brilliant red color. It was so red that I actually toned it down a bit. Sometimes highly saturated plants look unreal on the monitor. The camera was set on Manual\u00a0mode with the aperture set at f\/4, shutter speed at 1\/160th of a second and the ISO set at 800. I used a tripod for stability and my\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/glossary\/kirk-fr-2-focusing-rail\/\">Kirk Focusing Rail<\/a>\u00a0to obtain 15 images which I brought together into one image using Photoshop and\u00a0the focus stacking technique. I then finalized the image in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n<p>This photo is best viewed large. Click on it to enlarge it.
