I photographed this Lonely Pier near Howard Murph Memorial Park near Rockport, Texas, after photographing the same pier a few minutes earlier and a few dozen yards north of this point. I have been trying to photograph the same subject from\u00a0multiple vantage points versus staying in one location. I have realized that sometimes the location I originally chose was not the best location.\u00a0I moved around quite a bit in this location experimenting with different vantage points. For this particular vantage point I was trying to take advantage of the nice sunset colors and the contrasting yellow and blue without the direct sunlight. Moving around the shore and capturing a photo from a different angle eliminated the brightness of the sun and allowed for the colors to be a bit softer.<\/p>\n

This image was taken with my\u00a0Canon EOS 5DS<\/a>\u00a0using my\u00a0Canon EF 24-70mm f\/2.8L II Lens<\/a>\u00a0set on 70mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority\u00a0mode with the aperture set at f\/14, shutter speed at ten\u00a0seconds and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability and my\u00a0Syrp Variable Neutral Density filter<\/a>\u00a0for a longer exposure. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.<\/p>\n
