{"id":10762,"date":"2016-12-17T04:00:12","date_gmt":"2016-12-17T10:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/?p=10762"},"modified":"2016-12-16T12:51:28","modified_gmt":"2016-12-16T18:51:28","slug":"fall-sunrise-moonset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/2016\/12\/fall-sunrise-moonset\/","title":{"rendered":"Fall Sunrise Moonset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I photographed this fall sunrise moonset the other morning when a friend and I went to the Pennybacker Bridge Overlook to photograph the scene. We were lucky because the sky turned pink just as the sun peaked over the horizon behind us. The moon was full (the last of 2016) and the clouds were thin enough to allow the moon to shine through. It was hard to get the entire scene into the photo so I had to do a panorama to capture the river, the trees and the setting moon.<\/p>\n<p>Austin is not known for fall colors so when trees turn brown we celebrate. About 90% of the trees in this area are evergreen and are made up primarily of Ash Junipers and\u00a0Live Oaks. The only places where trees grow that turn color is along rivers and streams. The camera was set on Manual\u00a0mode with the aperture set at f\/4.5, shutter speed at 1\/25th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. I captured a total of four\u00a0images which I stitched together into one panorama image using Lightroom.
