This location has become a regular stop for our photography group during our\u00a0trips to the park. The difference this time, however, is that I hiked up a fairly steep incline to the top of a hill to capture this image. The last twenty feet of the climb was vertical and it was quite scary. My only thought was\u00a0&#8220;don&#8217;t slip!&#8221; Fortunately, I was able to leverage deeply rooted plants and sturdy rocks to hoist my way up. I will probably not do that again. I don&#8217;t consider this a great photograph but the effort\u00a0behind the shot is\u00a0worth the post. Of course, clouds would have been fantastic!<\/p>\n<p>This is a very convenient location. It is located only a mile or so from our hotel and parking is a breeze. The mountain range in the background is the Chisos Mountain Range. Burro Mesa is located directly in front of the Chisos. The colored hills in the foreground are\u00a0made\u00a0primarily of cretaceous\u00a0Javelina formations,\u00a0cretaceous\u00a0Aguja\u00a0Formations, Talus Gravel and Pediment Gravel. The camera was set on Manual\u00a0mode with the aperture set at f\/16, shutter speed at 1\/50th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. I captured a total of seven\u00a0images which I stitched together into one panorama image using Lightroom. All processing was done only in Lightroom.<\/p>\n<p>This photograph is best viewed large.
