Not only is it nearly impossible to see them all, but some are hard to convey via a photograph. This is the case with the Chromatic Pool. As its name implies, the color hues produced by the pool are quite diverse. The only way to really understand and appreciate its beauty is\u00a0by being there.<\/p>\n<p>Chromatic Pool is located about 150 feet from the equally colorful\u00a0Beauty Pool. Beauty Pool is a bit larger. The Chromatic Pool is about 30-feet in diameter. The rich colored shades of red and orange are cyanobacteria. The deep colors indicate that the water temperature is relatively low. The run-off channel to the right is similarly colored. Although the spring does not erupt, the water level gradually rises and falls over long periods of time (weeks and months). The camera was set on Manual\u00a0mode with the aperture set at f\/20, shutter speed at 1\/8th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a sturdy tripod to create a solid foundation and my <a href=\"http:\/\/tkahler.com\/blog\/glossary\/kirk-lrp-1-long-rail\/\">Kirk Long Rail<\/a> to avoid Parallax Errors on the panorama. I captured six\u00a0images and stitched them together into one image using Lightroom.
