Firehole Falls, Yellowstone National Park

Winter at Firehole Falls

Firehole Falls is located right next to Firehole drive which follows the Firehole River. The narrow and short waterfall sits amidst 800-foot thick lava flows that form the canyon walls.

Eternal Flame

Eternal Flame

The “eternal flame” is found in a grotto housed within a waterfall in a park south of Buffalo. The fire is fueled by natural gas that seeps into the grotto.
