Fork Tailed Bush Katydid

I captured this photograph of a Fork Tailed Bush Katydid (Scudderia furcate) sitting on a Blackfoot Daisy yesterday morning in my front yard.

I photographed this Blackfoot Daisy at the LBJ Wildflower Center. As a member of the Aster family, it resembles many other Texas Wildflowers.
