Trans-Pecos Senna

I photographed this Trans-Pecos Senna (Senna Pilosior) while hiking along the Hot Springs Trail in Big Bend National Park during my recent trip to the area. As I understand it, this flower only grows in the Big Bend area. It was growing right on the trail and was so small that I almost stepped on it.

Trans-Pecos Senna

Trans-Pecos SennaThis image was taken with my Canon EOS 6D Mark II using my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro Lens. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/4, shutter speed at 1/125th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability and my Kirk Focusing Rail to obtain 25 images which I brought together into one image using Photoshop and the focus stacking technique. I then finalized the image in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
