Milk Truck at the Car Forest

This milk truck and limo were two of the more interesting and most photographed vehicles at the International Car Forest of the Last Church located near Goldfield, Nevada. I mentioned in a previous post that this location was part of the night photography workshop I attended. I am not a big fan of this type of photography but I did enjoy the challenge of lighting the subject and finding new and interesting ways to photograph them. For this photo, I lit the inside of the vehicles with tea lights. I had to sacrifice a few of them in the limo because I did not want to crawl up there. It seemed a bit risky to do so. So, I just tossed them in there and left them there. I lit the headlights with a snoot attached to a flashlight. The outside of the vehicles was lit by the ambient light provided by the very bright moon.

This image was taken with my Sony A7R II using my Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 Lens set on 16mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/5.6, shutter speed at 20 seconds and the ISO set at 3200. I used a tripod for this photo. I lit the inside of the milk truck and the limo with some tea lights. The outside of the vehicles was lit by the moon. I used a flashlight with a snoot to simulate the headlights. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
