Car at the Car Forest

I realized that I have posted a few photos of vehicles from my recent trip to the International Car Forest of the Last Church near Goldfield, Nevada, but I had not posted a photograph of the many cars that are stuck in the ground. So, I thought I should post a photo of a Car at the Car Forest with its front end buried. Most of the vehicles at the Car Forest are cars but most people are attracted to the buses and larger vehicles. This car caught my eye because it was isolated and I liked the artwork on the roof of the car. It gave the car a personality. I am still intrigued as to why someone decided to do this and the money that was spent getting the cars in the ground. That said, it is a cool place to visit, especially at night.

This image was taken with my Sony A7R II using my Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 Lens set on 16mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/5.6, shutter speed at 20 seconds and the ISO set at 5000. I used a tripod for this photo. I lit the roof of the car with my Coast HP7R flashlight with custom filters. The rest of the car and the scene was lit by the moon. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
