Another one of my favorite areas in Big Bend National Park is the Rio Grande Village where one can hike the Nature Trail and photograph a Rio Grande sunset. The Rio Grande river winds through the area and aligns with the sunset very easily. On the left side of the river is Mexico and on the right the United States. There were no clouds again so I made the best of the scene.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 16mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f/14, shutter speed at 1/60th of a second and the ISO set at 400. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.

Very nice job on this, Terry. I like the backlighting on the small cactus spines.
I like the shot quite a bit. I wish the cliff was communicating itself better. I also wish I knew a way to make that happen in post. :)
Thanks Lucas. Yes, that’s hard to do…
