Travel Scooter

And now for something a little different. I usually don’t document my trips on my photography blog but I thought I would try doing that this time. Today I’m traveling to Rockport, Texas on my “Travel Scooter”. I got this Harley-Davidson Trike about 8 years ago with the intent of taking it on photography trips. Well, today marks the third photography trip for the Trike. It has been to Florida and back, Big Bend and back, etc. but only on two “official” photography trips. Although you can’t see it I have my photography gear (including my large tripod), my duffel bag, bike stuff and odds-and-ends all stowed in the upper and lower trunks. I can still add more on top if I wanted to but I’m trying to travel light.

My plans are to head out later this morning (Tuesday) and arrive in the Rockport area mid-afternoon. Slow and easy trip. It’s less than 200 miles one way and the weather looks good so far. I will stop for lunch along the way. After checking in to the hotel and getting some groceries, I will probably head over to a known site to photograph the sunset. I have not planned out the trip in much detail yet but I plan on doing so tonight. You may also receive multiple posts throughout the day if I find something interesting to share. Otherwise, you will get my daily posts as usual.
