Back Home

I arrived back home yesterday afternoon from my trip to Rockport. I traveled a total of 640 miles on the scooter without a traffic violation, incident or even a close call. I had a great time and I hope you have enjoyed my play-by-play. Perhaps I will do this again during my next trip. It was fun for me to document the trip in this manner and I heard from some of you that it provides useful information in the event you plan a similar trip.

I began my day yesterday with another attempt to photograph a pier along the Fulton Beach Road. Most of the residences along this road have fishing piers setup across the street. Although the piers are private it allows me to photograph them. Most of the piers have “No Trespassing” signs on them with all kinds of warnings. So, I stay on the right of way and try not to cause trouble. The weather was different once again yesterday morning. Fairly calm winds but with significant clouds. The clouds were very dense in the gulf which kept the sun from  showing itself until several minutes after the official sunrise time. A lot of patience was required. The lights you see on the horizon are the fishing boats heading out from Rockport to the Gulf of Mexico.

I’m looking forward to my upcoming photography trips. Look for my processed photos from Rockport in the days ahead.
