Texas State Capitol

One of my favorite photographs I have taken of the Texas State Capitol is the one I took in 2012 during a photowalk of downtown Austin with some friends. A group of us decided to begin our photowalk at Town Lake (aka Lady Bird Lake) and walk north towards the Capitol. We made numerous stops along the way ending with the State Capitol building. We actually got in a bit of trouble for photographing a state building and a public landmark at night. We were approached by Texas Rangers who inquired about our activities and checked our ID’s. Once cleared we quickly wrapped up and headed home.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II using my Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 Lens set on 24mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/9, shutter speed at 6 seconds and the ISO set at 200. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom.
