I photographed this Teton Reflection during a visit to Jackson Lake last fall. The Teton Mountain Range and Jackson Lake make for an amazing setting, especially when the wind is calm. I was hoping for a perfect reflection but the breeze picked up just as I started to photograph the range. I did get a nicer photograph of the Reflection on Jackson Lake not too long after this photo.
Jackson Lake is a natural lake located in the Grand Teton National Park. It was enlarged by the construction of a dam in 1911, enlarged again in 1916 and the dam rebuilt in 1989. The lake is the remnant of large glacial gouging from the neighboring Teton Range to the west and Yellowstone Plateau to the north. it primarily fed by the Snake River.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II Lens set on 70 mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/2.8, shutter speed at 1/2000th of a second and the ISO set at 100. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
