Mormon Row Barn

This photograph of the Mormon Row Barn was taken during my trip to the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks last fall. It was the first stop for the photography workshop I was part of. I had seen many photographs of the barns along Mormon Row, including the T.A. Moulton barn and I chose to process it in black and white. The clouds in the background helped with this decision. You can see the photograph I took of the T.A. Moulton Barn by clicking here. The barns are very similar and are often confused.

Mormon Row, as the name indicates, is a row of properties that were settled by Mormons in the late 1800’s. The area was donated to the National Park System in 1997 and are available for everyone to visit and explore. Mormon Row is located near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. So, if you are in the area, plan to visit these famous barns.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 26mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/8, shutter speed at half of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom. I completed processing it in Photoshop with Nik Silver Efex Pro.
