Bathing Bunting

I photographed this Bathing Bunting last year at the Pedernales Falls State Park bird blind. It was great watching him take a bath in the bird bath. He was making quite a splash when he suddenly stopped and looked straight at me as it he were saying “what are you looking at?” He then went about his business of bathing and primping.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 7D Mark II using my Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 II Lens set on 400mm. The camera was set on Manual mode with the aperture set at f/5.6, shutter speed at 1/80th of a second and the ISO set at 1000. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
