Schwabacher Reflection

I captured this photograph of the Schwabacher Reflection after completing the Schwabacher’s Landing sunrise image that I posted earlier this week. I wanted to photograph the reflection of the Teton Mountain range onto the pond as well as the full moon which was just starting to set. This photograph was taken at the pond located near the parking area.

Schwabacher’s Landing is one of the most popular spots for photographers to capture the dramatic Tetons with a classic water reflection in the foreground. The parking lot was full when we arrived and we were lucky to find a spot to photograph this popular scene. My advice is to arrive at least an hour before sunrise and make your way to the last pond. The views there are fantastic and the number of photographers is much less than at the first two locations.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens set on 24 mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f/14, shutter speed at 1/50th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom then finalized in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.
