Reflection on Jackson Lake

I captured this photograph of a near perfect reflection on Jackson Lake during my recent visit to the Grand Teton National Park. The water was as still as I have ever seen on such a large body of water. It made for a great mirrored reflection of the amazing colors and shapes of the other side of the lake.  The nice clouds were a great and welcome addition. I really like the geometry of this photo. Nature’s Kaleidoscope.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5DS using my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II Lens set on 24 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/10, shutter speed at 1/400th of a second and the ISO set at 100. I used a tripod for stability. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and completed in Photoshop using Nik Color Efex Pro.

  1. Excellent. Great balance with the perceptual horizon. Really has great depth with the mirrored cloud as well.

Congratulations on having the image inline with the email again as well.
