I captured this Buffalo History Museum sunset during a recent trip to the area. I was scouting for sunset locations using my regular photography scouting tools and it looked like this was going to be a good spot for a nice sunset. Unfortunately the clouds were not great but the reflection on the water and the starburst turned out as expected.
The Buffalo History Museum was founded in 1862 by local history enthusiasts. The Museum’s mission is to assemble a unique collection of regional paintings, photographs, artifacts and manuscripts which could be shared with the public. The museum outgrew its original location and a new facility had to be built. The structure was designed by George Cary who also designed the New York State Building which hosted the 1901 Pan American Exposition.
This image was taken with my Sony Alpha A7R II using my Sony 16-35mm f/4 Lens set on 16 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/22, shutter speed at 1/25th of a second and the ISO set at 100. This is a single image processed using Lightroom and Nik Color Efex Pro.
