“Splish splash, I was takin’ a bath.” or so the song goes. That’s what I was thinking when I was watching this Western Scrub-Jay while he was bathing in the bird bath at the Pedernales Falls State Park Bird Blind. He was having quite a time when I captured this image. In my post titled “Wet Jay“, I told about another Western Scrub-Jay that was bathing during my previous visit to the park. In that post I shared some information on how birds bathe and the benefits associated with this activity.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III using my Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 Sports Lens set on 600 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/8, shutter speed at 1/500th of a second and the ISO set at 1600. This was a single image processed in Lightroom.
