Pipiwai Stream

I’ve posted a few images from my trip to Maui last spring. The image below of the Pipiwai Stream was taken a few minutes before the Bamboo Forest image that I posted yesterday. I was walking up the trail towards the waterfall when I spotted this magnificent portion of the Pipiwai Stream. All the green hues and shiny rocks caught my eye so I hiked down to the stream, planted my tripod in the water about a foot off the water and captured this image.

This image was taken with my Sony A7 Mark II and my Sony FE 16-35mm f/4 lens set on 30 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/11, shutter speed at 4 seconds and the ISO set at 100. I used my Lee Filters to extend the exposure time in order to obtain the silky waterfalls.
