Many great images are all about being in the right place at the right time. Of course, you must have some skill to go along with it. Well, I happen to be in the right place at the right time. I went out to my back yard early one evening and passed this little guy on my way out. I finished my task then ran inside to get my camera. He was very cooperative but curious as to what I was doing. He kept twisting his head as to say “What gives dude! I took about 4 dozen photos then left him alone to hunt. This image was taken when he came between me and the sun. It was a bit challenging to take but I really liked how the light backlit his body and especially the gleam in his eye.
This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III using my EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/10, shutter speed at 1/160 and ISO at 800. This is a single image processed in Lightroom.

Great photo. I love him!
Nicely done, Terry.
Nice shot Terry. Particularly on the fly. Great stare-down.
