Buffalo Cactus

Another post from my trip to Buffalo last June. See my post form yesterday and from earlier this month. During this trip I was able to visit the Buffalo Botanical Gardens in addition to visiting the Basilica. The facility and South Park, which surround the Gardens, were designed by architect Fredrick Olmsted Sr.  Mr. Olmsted also designed Central Park in New York City. It was originally known as “South Park Conservatory”. Unfortunately part of the facility was being remodeled the day I visited so there were two wings that were not accessible.  My favorite part of the tour was the cactus exhibit.  It seemed strange to travel all the way to Buffalo to see cacti but they did have a wonderful exhibit.  My favorite one was the one captured below.  I wished I had taken a picture of the sign but I didn’t. So, if anyone knows what this one is drop me a note here and I will add it to this post.

This image was taken with my SONY ILCE-7M2 using my FE 24-70mm F4 ZA OSS set on 39 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/7.1, shutter speed at 1/1250 at ISO 400. Processing was done mostly in Lightroom and Photoshop.
