Sunlit Stream

I made a trip to Colorado in the summer of 2011 to attend an event with some friends.  A day after the event, we decided to take a trip through the Rocky Mountain National Park. We took the Old Fall River Road, a dirt road that runs along the Fall River. The road was built in 1920 and it was the first road to allow automobiles into the park. As we drove up the road I spotted this sunlit stream with a small waterfall.  We stopped and took quite a few photographs in this area.  If I recall correctly, I had to stand on a rock with my tripod in the water to take this image.  It is one of my favorite images from that trip.

This image was taken with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II using my EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM set on 105 mm. The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode with the aperture set at f/22, shutter speed at 1/4th of a second and the ISO set at 125. I captured 5 bracketed images and post processed them in Photomatix.  Final work was done in Photoshop and Lightroom.
