Another image from my trip to Buffalo last June. This one was taken next to where I shot the image in the “Congrats” post. I thought that the way the angels lined made for a good “mirror image”. So, I stepped over a few feet and centered my camera on the cross beam. This type of shot is very hard. Aligning the camera when it’s pointing straight up is difficult for a few reasons. First, the viewfinder is hard to see through and second, the camera alignment is three-dimensional. The camera must be exactly in the center of the subject, it must be completely parallel to the subject and the lens must be perfectly perpendicular. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get it aligned and I was still off just a bit. But, you get the idea of what I was trying to accomplish.
Mirrored Angels
This image was taken with my SONY ILCE-7M2 using my FE 24-70mm F4 ZA OSS set on 70 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority mode with the aperture set at f/8, shutter speed at 2 seconds and the ISO we set at 100. I processed this one in Lightroom and Photoshop.
