I captured this Rockport Sunset during my trip to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge last February. I’m looking forward to returning again this year to photograph the wonderful wildlife and to capture some magnificent sunsets along the Texas Gulf Coast. This photograph was taken right before the skies turned color by the setting sun which was behind us. I captured a photograph with all the colors and posted it last year. You can click here to see that post. What captured my attention in this area were the grasses growing near the shore and how the setting sun lit them up into golden colors. I intend to go back to this same spot to see if I can improve the photo with a better sky.
This image was taken with my Sony A7R II using my Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 Lens set on 30 mm. The camera was set on Aperture priority with the aperture set at f/11, shutter speed at 1/4th of a second and the ISO set at 50. This is a single image processed in Lightroom and Color Efex Pro.
